Title: Freespace 2 corporations
Post by: CP5670 on August 08, 2002, 11:29:20 pm
I was looking through some of the command briefing and tech room animations and found at least 15 new corporation names that I did not know of before; I have not heard these anywhere, so I am guessing that some are not known in the community yet. If you look in the credits, it can be seen that almost all of them correspond to the last names of Volition staff. :D (there are a lot more than the known Baranec one)

Akheton Corporation
Agay Fluctuators
Baranec Acquisitions
Bessmer-Kohn
Comet Propulsion Systems
Capezzuto Textiles
Dynamic Metamer
Enricco Ergonomic Systems
Gulisano Precision Gear
Han-Ronald Corporation
Hoffoss Ballistics    (not quite sure on this one)
Holt Bio Systems
Iscot [something]
Johnson Munitions
Kresge Construction
Kulas Management Systems
Mekhu Enterprises
Mesa Corporation
Nankam Aeronautical
Pletcher Designs
RNI Systems
Sahr Corporation
Snapka/Flegel Weapons Systems
Shekar Hydraulic Actuators
Subach-Innes
Triton Dynamics
Velocity: A Camarillo Company
Wentz Acoustics
Whiteside Construction

(this is all official BTW)

Good job man. I'll add that to my FSURP. I already have the well known corporations compiled by ZylonBane (I bet you haven't heard that name in a while).

That is what I always respond with whenever someone tells me that "maybe you will find a girl like you." If she is truly like me, she would also avoid people and thus we would never come into contact anyway; problem solved. :D

What you need to do is (during spring break) con some internet tard into thinking you're a 17 year old naive, sexy, blonde girl who wants to go out and stay with him in his Florida home. Then go to Florida using the plane tickets he sends and get to some kick-ass place like Ft Lauderdale and live it up surrounded by thousands of hot, loose and sexual charged college girls.

You can count how many tits you see, and impress girls by reciting pi to the 78th digit. Then measure how much force you need to apply with your hand before the girl kicks you in the nuts for grabbing her boob. Then you can evaluate the bruse marks on your testicles and determine how much velocity was in her kick.

Maths:
Quote
From square ABFE construct HK=Ö5. With E and F as centres and radius FN, swing arcs HN and KN. With E andF as centres and radius FB, swing arcs to intersect arcs HN and KN at O and P respectively. Connect F, E, O, N, P to foerm a pentagon.

The side of a pentagon is in relation to its diagonal as 1:(1+Ö5)/2.

:wtf:

nah, that's too applied for my tastes; I'm a theory guy. :D Besides, there is none of the good stuff (i.e. useless stuff) like elliptic theta functions or stieltjes constants involved... :p

Actually, since I can't use my main computer and therefore cannot play games, I will be doing math constantly for a few days... :D Problem is, I cannot use Mathematica and a bunch of my math notes are stored as Mathematica files... :(

bah, they look like crap. :p :D why does everyone seem to have this fascination with girls? Instead, this (http://mathworld.wolfram.com/StieltjesConstants.html) is much more captivating... ;7

But if you want theories... you could predict how many beatings you will get when you enter high school.

Hey CP, why don't you at least try a girl sometime?  If it doesn't work out, your theories are confirmed, but until you honestly try it, the theorem that all girls = bad will remain unproven.

CP: You don't think being surrounded by scantily clad females invoves quite a bit of theorizing? ;7
You know, it's actually quite a mental activity, as well as a visual one. Requires a bit of imagination, but they say the technical bit is everything...

Sure, but it is still too applied for me; pure theory only involves the math. ;7 (like I said, the more interesting functions do not appear in any application)

Ah, well, like the song says, it's nobody's fault but mine. :o

Dude, vyper, I think CP may be a lost cause. If these pics don't get him to stop his math theorizing, he'll never appreciate the beauty of a woman.

And if he never appreciate the beauty of a woman, then he'll never get a girlfriend. If he never gets a girlfriend, he'll never get laid. If he never gets laid, he'll never have children. AND if he never has children, CP will never have the opportunity to piss in the human gene pool by creating a new generation of math theorists with the wrong priorities! ;) :p :D

CP, I will support whatever decision you make. :D

See what I said earlier about that; to give another example, suppose you try to theorize what is in the sun's core, does that mean that you should go in there to find out if you're right? :D

What I think about it? She looks like the usual biological crap as all the others do, and as for specific characteristics:

unusual clothing of unidentifyable composition and having small colored bead-like objects
mouth is asymmetrical from the front in its current position
appears to be digging in her genitals for something
somewhat long nails on at least one finger
the sun is most likely on the left due to the brightened hair there
some leaves of that nearby plant appear to be yellow

That's about it.

I have...other methods...of getting new math nuts to sprout up without actually having kids myself... ;7 :D

I actually think everyone else is a lost cause, since they will never appreciate the beauty of special functions. :p (check this (http://functions.wolfram.com/images/gallery/random7.jpg) out; the real part of the spherical harmonic function in spherical coordinates ;7)

Actually, I'm the kind of guy who would try and invent a virus to take down every porn site out there. :D I only take orders if they have logical reasoning behind them, and it is actually all of you that need to "get help" if you see beauty in things like humans. Now this on the other hand:
Beauty in its purest form right there. (the quantity on the right is the third elliptic theta function)

I can think of a hundred better selections, such as the one I gave above. Life may not all be books, but it is indeed all numbers, since the workings of the universe can be fully explained by numbers. About liking math at the exclusion of everything else, see what Hardy said on that subject. :D Girls may well be complex (although even that is a matter of debate really), but that does not make them interesting in the least; the real man will go for pFq hypergeometric functions instead any day. ;7

hey, CP, I'm 18 and in college....I believe U are right...with the math thing....and how did we ever get on this topic anyway (too lazy to go back and look) thank U for the list (ON TOPIC)......Girls of your age (i read somewhere 15) will only use U especially now..(if 15 is true)  .. wait til later in life if U're even interested.... not being in love with a girl and having sex with her has few high points (sure there's pleasure now...) but all sorts of unforseen problems arise......... I only had 1 girlfirend in HS and i got burned badly.......if for no other reason...$$$$$$$$$$$...a girlfriend costs a lot and then they will dump U when they sense they won't get more ....(just my opinion) as  some women get older they then to realize that being alone isn't a good prospective for life....so good luck in all your endeavors........ (Math jockeys(lol) make lots o money when older if U plan it right) have a good one and thanks again for the list....
