I found a website a while back (a long time ago) that had a complete list in alphabetical order and I've kept them in a text document for reference. I forgot the website URL, but anyway, there they are.

To flesh them out, find the text of the Bible, or a book of the Bible, and copy the whole thing into Word. Then run a spellcheck and have it add all the unrecognized words to a new custom dictionary. When it finishes, go into options and edit the custom dictionary. Wallah! All the words are there!

NOTE: You may have to manually click on the ADD button or create a macro to do so automatically, cause I can't figure out how to have it "Add All"... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)

It was made for science fiction writers, but it is 100% accurate, so I highly recommend it if you're making new systems for the node map, etc.

Post by: NeoHunter on July 17, 2001, 12:34:00 am: Speaking of names, Terran is another way of saying Humans or Man. Shivans came from Indian mythology as in Shiva I think. Then, what about Vasudans then? Did Volition just pick the name from the air?

I was thinking that maybe the name of the new race shuld be taken from some Earth mythology or tale or something. This is to follow the FreeSpace way of naming things and races.

However, I'm not very learnt in Earth mythologies and stuff, so can't really help you unless you want me to pick names from the sky.
