Had things working before I upgraded to Windows 10. Now when I run launcher it says "failed Enum Adapter Modes in Update Analias list"
and if i "OK' that and then Run normally it gives "failed to set graphics" or something error, and when i click from main hall to start a game, or whatever, I get "failed to.....set internet options" etc, which, whether I set up in launcher or not, does not detect.
I looked through the troubleshooting topic and didnt see this listed. Anybody else familiar with this?

There's a launcher option with something like "use old/new registry settings" (sorry, @work and can't run wxLauncher to check), try selecting that. Or uncheck it if it's already set.
If you're using 3.7.4 you could also try running the launcher in admin mode.

Are you using the 5.5g launcher or wxLauncher?
-
failed Enum Adapter Modes
Use wxLauncher (https://github.com/scp-fs2open/wxLauncher/releases/) instead.
-
I was using the latest launcher, 5.5g sounds about right.
wxLauncher is the universal one?
-
Actually, to call the 5.5g launcher the latest is laughable. It has been pretty much deprecated for...I'm not sure how long now. wxLauncher is the cross-platform launcher right now.
That said, if ngld's work pans out, Knossos, along with its server side component, Nebula, could replace even it, as well as the current FSO Installer. But Knossos is still not ready for widespread use. It only just recently re-entered development, as ngld had to stop work on it for a time.

The 5.5g launcher is rather outdated, and doesn't play nice with any Windows OS newer than Vista. wxLauncher is the one you should be using.

Really? I thought it was ok through Win7. And I even had it working until I got the Win 8.1 update to Win8. That was when I finally bit the bullet and got wxLauncher. Took me a bit to get used to it, but I was glad I got it. And then I got it in Linux too, for a laptop that go stolen later, and it was nice to have one launcher with the same layout on both platforms.
-
Yeah, it works fine in Windows 7. It's versions of Windows newer than that that don't run it properly.
-
And more importantly, 5.5g will not be able to handle future FSO builds correctly.

Alright thanks for the help guys. Downloading wxLauncher
