Title: Problem in Ancient Shivan War Act 2

The initial cut scene plays fine. But after that I get this message

Hitting OK exits the game. And hitting debug loads a briefing but all buttons are not click able.

The MOD ini i made a minor change: the media 3.6.12 changed to media vp 2014.

I wonder - did you unpack any mods into your freespace/data or freespace/mediavps_2014/data? Like, is there anything in directories like freespace/data/tables or freespace/mediavps_2014/data/tables?

I think a similar problem (though with Bem Cavalgar) was reported yesterday, and the cause was having some unneeded stuff in data directories.

Okay, but those are non-fatal warnings (as demonstrated by the fact that you were able to continue past them); your log just shows entering a command briefing normally, returning to the main menu, and quitting successfully. No failure to load 2_commandBrief-mb, so... how do you expect us to diagnose a problem your log doesn't show?

Awakenings requires mediavps_3612. You do not have it.

You want me to erase a VP file?

Everything from FSO I have installed was from the FSO Installer and the FSO Installer Mirror site for the many many things it missed.

EDIT: Does the new logfile correctly show that I got that error crash about the command brief?

The nested folder structure is the reason FSO can't find it. Move the inner \mediavps_3612\ folder to your \Freespace 2\ folder (so that instead of \Freespace 2\mediavps_3612\mediavps_3612\mod.ini you have \Freespace 2\mediavps_3612\mod.ini) and it should work.

That did it. Awakenings and ancient shivan war act 2 both with (well at least till the briefings) without any error messages. Fantastic. Thanks guys.
