Kinda pointless to write anything in the body of the post, but I think I have to, so you get this sentence. :D
-
September 17th or something like that.
-
Yeah sometime in September. May even be October, but I'm fairly certain I heard September
-
First series is still on here, but I haven't been impressed.

I appreciate the recurring temporal war thing that has popped up now and then, and if you haven't seen the season cliffhanger yet, then hold your judgement until then. Let's just say that at least Archer is slipping into the Kirk/Sisko "Ram them till they give up!" category, as opposed to Picard and Janeway's "Talk to/at them till they give up" modus operandi. :D

Hey, this series does take place a hundred years before Kirk's era, so it's to be expected that Archer would fall into the Kirk/Sisko "Ram them till they give up!" category.
I can't wait to see the next season opener. :)

the helm guy on enterprise said midway there was gonna be 3 new nx class starships to be buildt, are they in the second season? has anyone read any spoilers yet ?
-
The damn thing STARTS here (first season, that is) on September 10th. So, it's gonna be a long way till the damn last episode (the only one I didn't manage to get when I thought the series would never air here, just like all the other ST ones).

Hmm, lemme explain:
1. Crappy connection at home (now soon to be fixed, though)
2. Stupid free provider blocks... certain... ports.
3. Stupid proxy at work blocks the same certain ports.
4. Only decent HTTP server I found with the things was taken offline
So, you can feel the drama. Yeah, yeah, I know, sucks to be me and all that, I know... :p

I watched a few episodes of Enterprise here and there. Not a bad series. Its actually the first time I see Humans interacting with Vulcans this much. From what I gather, Vulcans are just stuck up. Rigid and like a wooden block. Boring race if you ask me. Still, their technology is amazing.
And too bad the Enterprise didn't have shields at that time. Just "polarize the hull". Haha:D

There's a lot of plot inconsistencies with that show. An example is, the NX-01 was supposed to be named Dauntless.
-
And where was that mentioned?
What other inconsistancies...I haven't seen many if any at all.
Season 1 cliffhanger is definately among the best trek episodes ever. That and the mid-season episode with the same subject matter. That was definately an un-trek ending...and good! :D

Pfft, what would be the fun of having a show named "Dauntless"? It's all on the name. :D

The Voyager episode "Hope and Fear". One of the other things is the early encounter with the Ferengi. The Stargazer was supposed to be the first to encounter them.
EDIT: Here is a list of the SHIP's inconsistencies: http://ditl.org/ships/comnx.htm
-
With the Ferengi thing...Archer never found out who they were. Chalk them upto being unknown race number 600532.
Ahhh the Dauntless...from Voyager. It stands to reason that the Alien screwed up on the NX-01 numbering....OR....that NX-01 may be used to describe an early prototype vessel.
-
the other 3 nx ships on the drawing boards, where are they??
-
So far this IMHO has been the best Trek series. It at least keeps internal consistency.
Plus the season finale wasn't half bad, even though right at the start I was afraid the series was falling about due to "arbitrary tech babble" (the combustable gas in the upper atmosphere of the colony thanks to industrial pollution) it actually managed to explain it in english and proved to be an excellent kick for the story.
Now it would be better if they didn't have time travel, but hey maybe it's all a big charade? ;)

*wants Q to arrive and be like "WTF?!? Damn Romulans." and lay the smack down on the Suliban*
-
Yeah, I'm seriously thinking the whole "Temporal Cold War" thing is actually just a Romulan scheme to destabilize the area. But that's just how I'd write it ;)
-
You know what would be funny? Just picture this.....
Bridge of the USS Enterprise E
Picard: Set course for Sol. Warp 7.... Engage!
-Enterprise jumps into warp, at the same time as Q decides to play a little trick on them. They arrive at the Outer Rim, just in time to nearly collide with the NX-01 Enterprise.....

Outer Rim? :wtf: Wouldn't they be more likely to collide with Vice Admiral Thrawn's Victory-class Star Destroyer out there? :D

Methinks the destruction of Earth is from the following:
Enterprise fails to make contact with Romulans and start the Earth-Romulan war
Romulans never need to ally with the Klingons for the D-7's
Romulans take everything by storm having never given their cloaking technology to anyone

Dang it! I just hate it when that happens - it just ruins my whole day! Loosing your home planet can get to a guy, y'know? :(

Now you know how Arthur Dent feels. :D
God bless you, Douglas Adams, wherever you are!
-
Ack. I meant the Oort Cloud, not the Outer Rim....
-
I missed the finale... what happens, i heard that dead crewman comes back is that right? and they team up to fight the sulliban?
