Title: Ideal cbani Format

So, WC Saga contains some 42 cbanis, with about 11,000 frames taking up 1.3 GB or so of hard disk space.  These are 512 x 256 DDS files organized into EFFs.  The DDS frames do not display properly in modern FSO, and I am not really sure why one would use DDS for interface items.  Therefore I assume that I'll need to convert these to a different format.  Before starting that task I'd like some input as to what the group thinks would be the best format to convert these to. PNG EFFs?

Converting everything to apng is the best possible option.
