Keep in mind those aren't textures, they're just a plain color layed over the geometry.

seems very nice, but post a screen of the bottom, to see better thetwo boxes:)
-
Those "boxes" are bomb racks, nearly identical to the Ursa's. But since you asked so politely:

Looks like the forbidden love child of an Ursa and an Athena...but in a good way. :D
-
Actually, this isn't quite a new model. It's what's termed a kitbash. Essentialy, I ripped parts off the Athena, Ursa, and Zeus and ended up with this. The cockpit I completely designed, however.
-
Grey Wolf...next time when u post a model withc is undetextured is better to turn off the shading and let it flat in order to actualy see the shape of the model...the best case is to render it as solid-wireframe
-
Looks good... probably needs a turret to defend itself, but otherwise looks good :yes2::)
-
Looks more like a heavy bomber, nut very nice.
Edit: I'm a nut! that should say "but very nice"
-
don't worry thor, i'll cover for you........what he meant was...dude that freakin rocks!!!!
-
ahhhH!! phear the smooth shading!!!
Nice ship tho..
-
This ship is not going to be a heavy bomber. I want it to be able to actually move.....
-
Here it is with my first attempt at texturing it:

i think that rocks.
-
It's amazing what Orion and Hecate (?) textures will do for a ship....
-
That thing is HUGE... It's gonna be packing huh?

As a technical achievement I think it's great work, you've made a lot of progress GW.
I guess like most other models the design is simply a matter of what you like, I can't say I like it too much and the textures don't really fit the ship.
Don't worry about it though, if you like it that's all that matters.
Good work. :)

But this one had actual polygon editing, no crossed polys, and me learning how to join models in Blender, so it is much better than the Scyros.

Bugger..... I've been using the name 'Aegir' for a carrier.
-
Do NOT use those body maps! What you want is a custom full-ship skin like the Athena, Ursa, and Zeus. Go for the grey metal plating! Or try something along the Ares line--the gold and dark red cockpit looks nice.
-
If someone wouldn't mind helping me tex it, I'd do that, but as it is, I have no real skill with making maps.

Well, learn it. Neither did I when I started, so all you need is a bit of patience and hard gratf to get something worthwhile.

I also lack money to buy a good image-editing and mesh-editing tool. I'm 15 and all I can get are minimum wage jobs where I'd have to work for peanuts in a crappy working enviroment, and I'd have no time to mod.
-
grey wolf...I am in the exact same situation,, exact...
although my dad is a gizmo guy, so he likes to buy stuff...thats how I got Corel Photopaint, and TS was borrowed from a friend...
-
At least I have Blender and TS2....
-
i think it needs tail blades (fins) on the back
-
You dont need to buy image software, just get the PSP7 trial and reinstall it every 60 days! :mad2:
-
Dont even need to do that, Cracks are abound (not p1mping) but you can just put the date back 30 days to save your HD getting fragged....
-
Have you tried The GIMP? (http://www.gimp.org)
It is free (open source), and has pretty much all the features of Photoshop, plus a very nice scripting language. There are also a slew of cool plugins available.
There's a WIndows version, although I've never tried it (I use Linux); follow the links.
