A little info:

The more people in a council the better, because of commerce, and council cash. The council speaker(me at the moment--don't be scared ;7) can start council projects that increase the 'welfare' of everyone in the council. This takes money(lots), I currently donate as much $ as I can to the council, but eventually it will not be enough.

Also, each player gets commerce from the planets of other players in the same council. With more planets to trade with, the more money you get from commerce.

Join us, and we will take over the galaxy together ;7

Call me a newbie, but I don't even know how to register. I tried that step-by-step or whatever it was and it didn't work... there is no register button.

If I can register, I might at least try that game. :)

no no no you have to register and log in at www.magewar.com first, then go to that archspace site and continue from there.

Thanks, DC. That step by step didn't tell me that. But when I register at the magewar.com address, it asks for ID, do I type that darkage's one to that?

Edit: Nevermind, it's not that. Doing account now. :)

Edit2: Account done, reading help files. It took so long as I first did a test account. I'll be creating character as soon as I know at least something. Remember to let me in in the council. :D

Ow and 1 advise : Do NOT use the council forums. They are too easily hacked. Ppl have been warned about this before.

How strange... it said that there already was character called Redfang but then it let me in after pressing back buttons few times. :wtf:

Edit: Bleh, got tired of reading the manual. Playing now, and trying to learn that way. Reading only manual and not playing won't help. :)

kinda fun...it would be a bit better if

1) my expedition would come home already...

2) their server wasn't so slooooow....

3) if I could make ships just a bit faster... (i'm already military focused btw...)
Title: ArchSpace players wanted.
Post by: an0n on August 17, 2002, 12:05:47 am
Don't just concentrate on military. Invest a ton of money and it'll build 'em faster.

What's a good price range for a magistrate bribe?

Thanks, about time. :p I thought that darkage was the one who lets people in, and sent him PM's that why he didn't let me in. ;)

My concentration mode is balanced, but I have invested to research pretty much and I haven't done too many ships, maybe I should... :D

But I don't know how much can one destroyer do, so that's why I haven't done ships.

Edit: I'm slowly getting started... got 1000K PP in one night. I know it's not much but it's better than 300K at the start. :D

[holy **** moment] WOW !! we got 14 members now ![/holy **** moment]

I like it now we have a real council.

And i almost had the whole council into war:D
If it happend we would have been all destroyed:)
Title: ArchSpace players wanted.
Post by: Redfang on August 17, 2002, 05:15:25 am
Yeah, I was in inactive council with 2 members before I got in this good one. :)

But our council has some projects, that's nice. I didn't even know that councils can have projects... :)

I have none available myself.

Edit: Seems that we have almost all. One of them isn't even on the encyclopedia, is it secret?

Edit2: I hate that how slow the expeditions are... and the fact that you can only send one fleet to expedition... does fast engines or something help in that? I mean, do they make it faster?

And what about bigger ships in expedition, are they slower?

I'm guessing I can't play it forev-AGH!  The pop up ads!  Diediediedie!  I'll kill them until they are are dead! *begins stabbing pop ups with a crude knife*

EDIT: I like this game, but these ads are really pissing me off.  Got any programs around to nullify these vehement things?

I don't have that at all, and i am not using a pop-up killer.
You can play it forever. some players are already playing it for 8 months or so.

Well, I'm geting pop-ups every time I click a button!  As for the playing forever part, SWEET!  This will definately become an addiction.  It feels kinda like Imperium Galactica, but without all the graphics.  ^^;;

EDIT: By the way, I can't find your council!  My list only goes up to about #3,200...  --;;

1)  There is really no point in building ships until you can build Mobile Fortresses and Doomstars.  And once you can build doomstars at a decent rate (i can currently build one every 8 ticks, not that good) then build only them.  I think it takes nearly 100 MBF's to kill just 1 doomstar.  Also, your main weapon will be Homing Black Holes.  They do the most damage.

2) Expeditions tend to get really slow after a bit.  Try this when your fleet returns.  Disband the fleet, and create a new fleet with just one of those ships.  Then send it out on an expedition.  This seemed to speed up my expeditions immensely.

3) Dranon, hanging out in another council.  May travel to yours this week...

1 Doomstar can be killed by 2 MBF's. It just depends on how you make your battle plan. I suggest you make a special battleplans against Doomstars in wich you order them to break through (Dooms are slow) and attack 'm from behind (ups chances of victory greatly).

Hehe, true.

I just made a few battleships... I can also build mobile fortresses but they're expensive and I don't have enough devices...

Also, how strange, why does disbanding a fleet and creating a new one help in it?

Dranon, you make Doom Star every 8 ticks, I make battleship in 24 ticks.:p

No pop-ups here, and my name there is same as here... I lack originality. Also, trying to name those ships is an utter pain. :sigh:

Edit: One of my "planets" is a tiny asteroid, it's resources are normal, but it makes almost 2/3 of the PP's my home planet does, even if the home planet has more than 5.5 times more factories... if it's the population what affects to that then it's not that strange, but still quite as my home planet has 136M (about maximum, pretty stupid) people and the asteroid has 59M.

Post by: StratComm on August 18, 2002, 10:00:41 pm
Perhaps commerce?  One of my planets picked up more income from commerce as soon as I got it than my home planet was making at the time.  It all depends on seemingly random and behind-the-scenes calculations
