I don't think they could, without inciting the wrath of the entire gaming internet and media. Maybe eventually.

But even if it goes away in a couple years or changes into a monster form of evil, well, we can just stop giving them money. It'll be a loss, but you (theoretically) don't lose anything you've already put in.

humble bundle has been dead to me since the THQ bundle so no real loss
