Well, you don't necessarily have to have something "big wrong", you can have bad vision and have eye (laser) surgery to repair it.. (so it may apply to all people with glasses, that is, if they want it/have the money)
-
Good luck to you Carl (my name too!)
I just got two words for the rest of you...
Ana - Stetic!
That's right put me right the hell out so I don't happen to hear the doctor say, "Oops!"...
'What do you mean 'Oops!'!? :wtf:

I'm going to do that to pretty soon (before the end of the year I hope), but it's me who wants to :p

What happened to your eye that requires this? An overgrown cataract or something? My eyes are quite messed up but work fine with thick glasses. Anyway, good luck on this.

well it's for people with glasses too, as long as they want better vision (i.e me)
-
I didn't think a Shivan would need eye-surgery, just grow a new one.
Anyway, Good luck. :)

It's only misspelled if you're from North America :p The rest of the Former Empire uses spelt, spoilt, etc.

it'll be alright Carl. My dad had this thing done on his eye about a year ago. He was wearing glasses, and they did this surgery, all by machines, it's like he put his head in this laser thing, and he had to look into the 'little red light' :) lol... anyway, half an hour and then 2 weeks later he had almost 20/20 vision.
The surgery nowadays is pretty good, there's not much chance of anything messing up. Good luck with it though!
At least you're not going to have Tom Cruise's doctor in Minority Report

Should I suggest to stop paintball then? :p
-
i wasn't playing paintball. some other kids were, and one of them hit me.
-
Would it be wrong to say "in the kingdom of the blind..." ? Or to ask what the hell the world looks like from behind a detached retina?
Anyway, good luck with this. Hope it goes well. :)

He doesn't have a shotgun anymore; in case you didn't notice, we upgraded to flamethrowers a few months ago. ;)

[deep redneck voice]Damn kids![/deep redneck voice]
shure it was just an accident? :nervous:

Ahoy hoy, who's for a hunting trip?;7
-
Eeeewww. Really nasty--I've always hated the idea of eye surgery.
As far as your career goes, Carl, at least you'll be staring at a 2D screen. You won't need depth perception.;)
And, of course, he has six other eyes to compensate.
-
Good luck.
(another reason for GM research - grow another eye)
-
Argh, that sucks. Good luck.
-
Damn kids...
Good luck to you Carl. But remember, they wouldn't operate you if they didn't know how, so I think you are in good hands
