Pilots attend!
As some of you may know, the 30th of September 2019 is FreeSpace 2's twentieth birthday! :-)
To celebrate this momentous occasion Space Game Junkie is dedicating all of September to FreeSpace 2.
Check it out here: https://www.spacegamejunkie.com/miscellaneous/september-2019-is-a-month-of-freespace-2/ (https://www.spacegamejunkie.com/miscellaneous/september-2019-is-a-month-of-freespace-2/)

She's looking good for a two decade old game.
I've just realised my life has officially involved freespace and hard light, more than it hasn't.
Anyone else feeling the freespace 🥰

Yeah so I think I should delete my own topic about the same thing that I've submitted literally 4 minutes after this one showed up :P

Doesn't happen that often though. :D

Excellent news! That's a good collection of mods too. (The Scroll of Atankharzim in particular is near and dear to my heart. :D)

I wanted to keep this single thread, our one and only dedicated to our beloved game, free of Spam, Shattered promotions and other undesired derails :hopping:

I remember the first time I loaded up Freespace (and Freespace 2) :v-old:
on my WIN 95 computer. When I played the first several missions, I was awestruck and it hit me deeply like I could move mountains and seas with my will! I was crappy at first, (who wasn't!) And I remember the time I got my first kill unassisted...I really perked up until the game got harder. But I kept at it...got better and wanted more...and more. I was hooked! I wanted to leave Earth as it is and go forward hundreds of years in the future and fight for mankind! (and later for the GTVA). ;)
Yeah them days were good being single! :D
