Title: Changing control? Could use some help.

Hey guys.

I am getting back into Free Space 2 after being away for years.

I am trying to figure out how to invert the axis for the mouse.  I thought I use to be able to do it, but the option does not light up/let me click it when I try. 

I am using the blue planet mod so I dont know if that is part of the issue.  I dont have a joystick so if anyone has any suggustions for good keyboard controls I would appreciate it.

I just find it really unplayable when I move my mouse down and it goes up.  :)

I've never been a mouse guy, so once I got back to Freespace and other space sims, I bought a new Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick from Best Buy last year. I's suggest the same joystick for you, but Best Buy is sold out of them. You might have more luck with Amazon or perhaps another seller. A programmable joystick like the 3D Pro shouldn't be more than $35-45 assuming you can find one.

But if your heart is set on using a mouse, then hopefully another poster on this board will tell you how to invert your axis because I have no idea how to do that.  :(

Just to be sure this is not user error, here are some instructions:

in the control config screen, under "ship" click on pitch axis (once, do not double click it) and click invert.

(see attachment) the mod you use should not effect this, if this does not work then something is wrong with FSO.
