Title: BP WiH 2 One Future
Post by: Iain Baker on April 12, 2020, 02:30:18 pm
I'm trying to play through WiH 2. I figure if I keep at it I may start to appreciate it. Thus far I'm finding it every bit as frustrating as before.

Trying One Future - the mission you fly the custos x. Does the insertion team transport need to be ordered to do anything once it has been called in? It appears very hap-hazard when it comes to it doing anything - like  inserting the sodding team so the timer doesn't run out. Is there an in-game trigger that must be reached for it to do its job?

How long does it need from being called in to insertion?

If I call it in too early it gets schwaked by the McDuffs mass drivers or VLS missiles.

Is there a cheat to disable the timer?

Halp pls  :p

Figured it out - just needed to call it in earlier and disarm the McDuffy sooner. Dropping the difficulty helped :-)

Consider playing on 'first run' to get that first run experience.

Yeah, did that, thank you  :) Had 99% health at the end so if anything it was too easy. 2nd run might be the sweet-spot.

Learned another thing too - steer well clear of the McDuduff's contra-rotating spinny bits or you might get stuck in them. On the plus side, if one of the cruisers does like wise you can ignore it and let it get crushed

Also - a small amount of aim assist goes a long way - especially for taking out whole swarms of inbound duster missiles  ;7

I would still be handy to know how long it takes for the transport to go from being called in to insertion so players can tell in advance what the 'deadline' is. I'm guessing if the timer is already in the red it's too late, but what about when it is in amber?
