Yeah baby!! Tropical Storm Theta! We’re officially outdoing the worst hurricane season on record by 2 named storms and we’re still only in early November! Hang on tight, baby! We’re going all the way to Omega!11!!
Seriously though, what happens when we run all the way through the Greek alphabet? Is there a contingency plan?
If not, once we pass Omega, can we go with popular nominations? A couple natural disasters spring to my mind. I can totally see a Hurricane COVID or a Hurricane Tr- oops, sorry, wrong forum!

I started out thinking something more pedestrian like moving on to the Hebrew or Cyrillic alphabets. But that’s just not doing it for me!
How about we work our way through key figures in various mythologies, starting with HP Lovecraft. Can you picture a bunch of panicked weathermen arguing over how to pronounce, “Hurricane Nyarlathotep.” Or even better, “Tropical Storm Hziulquoigmnzhah!”
