Title: EEEP! Any win2k users read
Post by: vyper on August 30, 2002, 04:37:15 pm
This is my second major screwup in 7 days (dunno wots happening) but suddenly today, whenever you try to right click an item in the gui, explorer stops responding and loops with the little hour-glass.

Anyone else had this?

my pc tech course teacher is a 2k buff, i'll ask her.  Would you by chance be down to 3\4 or less hard drive space(computers slow down and start to die when you fill them up...)?

Try installing SP3... I doubt that helps but try.

If nothing helps, then reinstall. :)

Update - I'm going to do a complete back up of all my personal data and then wipe the system, reinstall and hopefully my problems will be over. (I already reinstalled windows without reformatting, didn't fix anything).

:wtf: :nervous: :wtf: :( :eek2:

So I may be off for a day or two until I actually get things running.

BTW, a very good trick mentioned here before was to create 2 virtual HD Drives, one for operating system only. Then when your OS is screwed, you can reformat the virtual drive with OS only, leaving all your private stuff untouched.

You could try Service Pack 3.
