This is another of these stupid corporate rules that there is no conceivable way to enforce; how are they going to know exactly how many copies of a particular program (and mp3 programs are everywhere today) are downloaded? :D

actually this is for HARDWARE DECODERS only.

Software decoders aren't subject to this (free ones anyway.  This means Realplayer will get charged though, as well as registered versions of sonique (if you have to pay for that?) & other stuff.)

there IS, just buy a CD player, hook it up to the mic socket, then play and record
