...So now I shall pass it on, like an infectious virus.

Apparently so.

There is no spoon.
There is, however, a TV showing some mutant bunnies behind them.

Are they ill-tempered? :drevil:

I would read through all that huge text if I had nothing else to do. Unfortunately, I do.
-
That was stupid. Really stupid. This is not the Matrix. The guy should lay off the LSD.

I would rather like to know who came up with the name for "crutons" or however you spell them.
-
Some interesting stuff there; I only read through the first few paragraphs but I think I see what he is saying. He seems to have made an important oversight though: given the assumptions, the simulation would for all purposes be exactly the same thing as a "reality," and it would make no difference what word we choose to call it. In fact, suppose that a person imagines something in his mind, we have a "simulated universe" right there. Either the absolute existence axiom or the purpose/meaning deduction is required to bypass this difficulty.
-
My main question is....
So? How will this affect my day to day life? It won't?
What a shock
*wanders off*

That's what I mean: there would be no difference between such a "simulation" and a "reality," even for theoretical purposes, so they would just be two words for the same idea. :D

Don't be too hard on the guy; he probably needed an original idea for his PhD. :D

Once again I say, there are no original ideas. Just original ways to die.
