Title: Modifying Warp in and out effects
Post by: starbug on February 16, 2022, 06:06:58 am
So for my B5 mod i am working on the Jump effect for warping in and out for ships. I know FSO supports a Babylon 5 warp in effect but which table do i use to set it up ie tell it what model to use etc? Ive had a look on the WIKI but i cant seem to find anything other than the various Warp in/out effects for the tables.

You'll find it in the Fireball.tbl (https://wiki.hard-light.net/index.php/Fireball.tbl) file, where you can also designate the model file.

https://wiki.hard-light.net/index.php/Ships.tbl#.24Warpin_Type:
https://wiki.hard-light.net/index.php/Ships.tbl#.24Warpout_Type:

Furthermore you should check the ships.tbl of the B5 to see what is specified there.

Is the homeworld hyperspace from TAP still in the code?

Yep, as the wiki states, the "Homeworld" type still works just fine. It does need the $Warpin/out Animation: defined too however, for the 'sweeper' itself.
