Basicly like the guns flying back against there own force, like the maxum but on capital ship turrets, i think giving turrets a recoil effect like in Homeworld would be cool, just wanted to know if that was possible (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

You could get them to move back and forth, but they'd do it all the time...

I believe the maxim has a 'shudder' or some kinda flag on it that makes the ship shake when you fire.
Take this flag and add it to 'terran turret huge' and see what happens.

Yeah, but that only seems to be visible if you're firing it (much easier to get the view effect than have the whole model actually shake, I suppose...)

If you're dealing with capital ships, when it fires the "big gun" have an invisible ship warp in, and kamakazie with a high mass, no damage effect with no explosion .ani or an invisible one.

You know how the flak guns goes off in your face when you use it as a primay weapon using the cheats? Well, maybe you could get that effect for a capital ship, and make it have no damage, no explosion ANI, and a heck of a lot of mass....
