The first commercial mission to the moon has just been approved, so if any of you still doubt the americans actually went there, this will be your chance to get some straight facts.

the moon landings were faked, too much contradictory evidence

And you have proof of this?
-
The Russians were monitering the whole event, watching the radio signals and everything, if they thought it was fake, you'd know about it.

I think your skull is to thick so no information is coming in.
Then airplanes must be fake also?
-
I'm no conspiracy theorist but the skeptics make a good case fellas. I just hope they're wrong.
-
What case? Everything they've brought up I've seen proven false
-
Oh, come on! If they had really went to the moon, how come they never brought back any cheese?
-
They ate it all!

this site disproves all of the evidence i've heard.

Ok, well what about the Klangers? How come they never brought one back?

Maybe they did :nervous:

*Laughs*
You had me going there... pretty good joke.
Skeptics make a good case we didn't land on the moon... heh heh. Good one.

I think one of my parents' friends landed on the Moon, back in the sixties. He said it was a lot less gray than orange, when he was there, and that there were little blue monkeys there with six arms who gave him a magic pill, which he lost a few years back.

Maybe the contradictory evidence was faked!

Quick man was it the Blue pill or the Red pill#@!#!#
He'll the moon is nothing, I was in the capella system once and then there was this super nova and I barely escaped!
Say wasn't there a movie called Capricorn 1 about the first man mission to mars and something hapens so they scrub the mission but because of financial and political pressures move the astronauts to the sound stage and "Film" the mars mission. Then they end up killing the astronauts to keep them quiet that the mission never happened? U know sorta like the moon landing
You know I'm only joking guys :p

I remember that one. It had OJ Simpson in it, if i remember correctly.

Oh joy, the anti-moon landing conspiracy theory again. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've had to educate wanke^H^H^H^H^Hpeople, normally of the slow, thick-skulled kind, with the relatively simple scientific knowledge required to refute all those claims
Edit: yes, OJ Simpson did star in Capricorn 1. Haven't seen that movie for years, not that it's something I desire to seek out....

Althought I thougroughly believe the 1969 moon landing was fake and am now in a state of silent, rage-filled fury with Kazashi, does it really matter?
In the grand scheme of things does it really matter who was the first to take corruption, ignorance and stupidity to the moon? The simple fact is that if the 1969 trip was real then our first venture to another celestial body was in the name of petty one-upmanship, and if this commercial one is the first then our first venture to another celestial body is in the name of capitalist elitism. Either way its a bad precident and I wholeheartedly hope that the Earth is either sorted out of incinerated before we can establish a habitat on the moon.

ok, let's go to the moon to do mega-parties then? We could sing and dance around the fire, now that'd be a great reason to go on Moon. Anyway, what's on TV today...

How did you want us to go into space then? :wtf:

In the spirit of discovery and the pursuit of evil. Not capitalism and "because we could"ness.

ok.....IF we faked going to the moon......why did we fake going back? We already knew it wasn't made out of cheese, so we didn't go back to replenish our supplies. I have an idea.....let's write to nasa and get the coordinates of the lunar landings. No atmosphere, no wind, no erosion. So even if all of our launch platforms, moon buggies and flags were hit by meteors, logic would dictate that we would find some debris. Let's go to a huge telescope and take a look.
I think we went. I also think we went back. Even if we faked going once.....we won. There was no need to keep faking it. I remember watching the apollo 17 launch in 1970. I was very young....but i remember sitting on my uncle's lap, and him trying to explain to a four year old why this was so important. I just thought it was neat to watch.
Going to the moon is a good thing, no matter how young our space program is, relatively speaking.
And if it was just "because we could" why did we bother with the scientific equipment to study it? why not a bottle of jack daniels? Yes we pushed ourselves because we were racing against the russians, but think about it. we were already downtrodden because of the vietnam era, the american people needed something to be proud of. And as far as it goes, everything up to that point had been geared toward getting us there. All the way back to the gemini missions. We didn't just decide....he we can go to the moon, let's go....we went in small steps, same as the russians were doing. Are you also saying that the reasons they launched sputnik were wrong as well? The only reason they launched it when they did was because we were getting ready to launch a satellite. They wanted to beat us in that, so was it wrong? Take a good hard look at the good that came from that.
-
Meh, all those trips to fix the Hubble Telescope were probably just to go and plant the flag and footprints once they'd got the technology.

the spirit of discovery don't bring money when building rockets cost a lot ( a lot... lol... ), and I don't see what pure evil to hunt up there.
-
bah.
money sucks, its responsible for more research projects going down the pan and suffering than any other one thing.
If anyone thinks money is still a positive force in your life, you need therapy.
-
huh, with no money, you'd have no research projects at all.

Not money, greed. The quote actually is:
The love of money is the root of all evil.

Yes we would.
Lots more.
Just because you're educated to think no other system could possibly work doesnt mean thats the truth.

but it is: who would for for such a time consumming job if they're not somehow forced to? a couple fanatics, et voila. That'd lead to nothing.

if you had nothing to do all day you'd get bored.

Point me another system that worked, then. :D
-
Ohh....you would have to ruin it all, wouldnt you?
I can only concentrate on doing one thing at a time..lemme destroy this one and then i'll concentrate on working a new systme out ;

and once again, we've fallen completely off topic.
Anyway, this does show that commercial space travel has future. So far there seem to be quite a few people who are willing to pay the $10 M to go to space, let alone the moon.
and if they did fake the moon landing, how would the tourists get there?

Me: Moon landing? Ha! I'm planning a trip to land on the Sun!
Everybody: :wtf:
Me: Ah, no, we'll be perfectly safe. You see, we'll be going at night.

I already heard this one :p

Aha! but it is mde of cheese! But the global cheese barons covered it up by faking moon missions, saying it was all rocky and the like.
Otherewise, the global cheese value would be devalued, and the economy would collapse. Especially in the Low Countries.

...We chose to return to the moon by the end of this decade while we do that other things.
This time, we return in both the spirit of discovery, but also in the spirit of the future. For space is the future of our species, and the moon is our Gateway to the stars.
So we chose to return to harvest the moon, and build new spaceships out from the hidden water deep inside the seemingly dead rock.
The moon is our Gateway, not only to Mars and Venus, but also to the rest of the entire Sol-system. The moon is the first giant step toward the future of all Mankind.
And now; within the end of this decade, we shall take that step.
:cool::yes:
