Not sure I agree with that but Im starting to get use to shows getting cancelled, lets check the list:
Babylon 5: Crusade
American Gothic
Dark Skies
Space Above and Beyond
Etc etc etc.
I think TV execs get there jollies from doing so. I dont know why they even bother making new shows to cancel, they might as well get on with what they want to do; show reality shows 24 7.

That's the point, y'see;
Fox presents their new real life drama- "When shows are cancelled"!
Sequel to the acclaimed - "when people die in accidents", "Best police beatings" and "When clothes fall off in public places"!

"when buildings collapse" and "when surgery goes wrong", come in mind as well.
Anyway, never had a chance to watch the show. Stupid cable.

"When good smileys die"
beatspete-Think of Star Trek with a good linear plot. There's Farscape.

It was on BBC2 in the UK....but I never really watched it with any great interest. Saw maybe 5-6 episodes and never paid much attention. Seemed a bit wierd to me.

:( :( :(
I am deeply saddened by this great loss and am shocked that the tv network that I have watched religiously for years whould do such a thing.
This is truely a sad day for all fans of really good televition shows. And it is days like this that we are reminded that the corprate world is cold, uncaring, and only out for profit.

well at least I've still got my Stargate

StarGate sucks now that its on sci-fi. Back in the day, when it was on shotime, it was the best thing that happened to that channel. The episodes were logical and not so far fetched\written for tv like(you know the feeling you get when you're watching something that seems a little too[/u][/b] fake).
-
you mean like us building a 200 meter long star ship capable of intersystem travel and anti-gravity drives in about a year, without us even haveing more than an extreemly basic understanding of the technology involved, and then letting it fall into the hands of a small group of people includeing a goa'uld.
or the now nonshalont maner of everyone on the regular ocasions that they get caught by some overlord of doom

I enjoy Farscape, except it's on a crummy local station, so I have No idea if i'm even in the right order. As For Stargate, well, I like that to. I'll watch this next seasion.
But, My favourite sci-fi show is back for season 3, Andromeda. Someone should add Lexa Doig to the hottest women thread.
And then there Enterprise. Its back and should continue improving.
Networks don't understand sci-fi. They can't get them right, and cancell them quickly. Hell, most don't last a season. There are some exceptions, like X-files, but even then it wasn't on one of the big three nets. (ABC, CBS, NBC) THey'll always be cancelling our beloved shows.
Glad to know someone actually watched Space above and Beyond. SOmeone should make a model of those Hammerheads.
-
I know there is a fan site whre meshes of the hammheads and the saratoga carrier are for D/L...
I tracked down all the episodes of SAAB cause I only saw like 3 episodes on TV when it came out... I am so glad I did, it was a decent series...
I think I know why they cancelled farscape, to get you all in a frenzy for the "re-imagined' Battlestar Galactica... They probably think that you'll go for it after the stargate marathon...
I hope they're wrong... (Sign those online petitions people!!!)
Let Richard Hatch direct the project!!! For the love of (insert diety here)...!

A Fan site for FS or SPace Above and Beyond? Or do you rember the site.
Edit: here a link to a Homeworld TC with S: AAB stuff http://www.tgu.org.uk/users/saab/saab/saabdownloadsmeshes.htm (http://www.tgu.org.uk/users/saab/saab/saabdownloadsmeshes.htm)

they shouldnt have canceled it heh back in the 1960's they tried ot cancel star trek and look at it today and it still growing
are the tv execs making the same mistake?
i wonder
this is the thing if we get enough snail mails(regular mail) emails and petitions signed and sent we will most likely have farscape on the air
heres a site you can go to:
http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/SAVE_FARSCAPE/
if enough of them go through w ewill lucky
i dont know if many of you or even if any of you remotely like farscape but could you get this word round?

Guys, if you want news on the cancellation, go here:
http://farscape.wdsection.com
I'm going on air tomorrow to alert the local scapers and post banners on the billboards on campus. I'm doing my part, are you?
If you're interested in faxing stuff to the advertisers that showed ads during Farscape, e-mail me and I'll fwd you a list of them along with an e-mail approved by the cast & crew. Make Scifi regret this decision and give Farscape the end it truely deserves, in the fifth season!
-
*bump*
Made my radio announcement and am printing up flyers!
c'mon folks! Help save the show!

If you like Anime that is.
Official letter from Jim Henson Productions.
http://www.jimhenson.com/farscape.html
They admit to the series being closed, however, they're not going to let it die.
The Jim Henson Company is in active development on a new Farscape film, an anime project and is currently discussing syndication of this highly acclaimed series.
So there will be at least one movie of it all, and if it goes into syndication it may pick up with another season.
Just who would host it though? Sci-Fi? Maybe, Turner's other stations like TNT?
