Title: Mission crashes
Post by: quadinhonic_II on September 07, 2002, 01:24:15 pm
What are the most common reasons for a mission to crash when your in game and well into the mission?

I was in the middle of one of my missions and it crashed 3 min into it and I dont know why.

most common thing i know of is too many ships for your processor to handle.  especially if there are alot of bombers, because it sees each bomb as a ship.  Which release of fs2 are you using?  Volition or the Source code release?

Uh Volition as far as I know of. There arent any bombers in the mission and Fred hasent *****ed at me at all.

try a wave reduction on the fighters.  or sometimes just killing the wave threshold to zero has helped me.  If not, i have had to rebuild the mission.  fred and freespace, though they rock, can be a bit on the quirky side.

I've had the problem with unstable mods, but I'm sure that I've cleared all those. I'll try the wave reduction and threshold.

That helped. but I dont think it was the waves. All that matters iis that its fixed.

[edit] oh yeah, thanks
Title: Suppor ships..

Cause I use everything I sometimes forget to click no support ships if I use Veritech in a mission (they have no docking port and it causes the misson to crash)...
