Is there a easy way to get a enemy Ravana (just an example) to fight only a enemy Orion (again just an example)? Basicly i want enemys to fight enemys and attack friendlys. Ok picture this situation:
Your the NTF Iceni. A Diemos warps in thats on the side of the GTVA. Then a Moloch jumps in. Now you should see the Diemos shoot the Iceni and the Moloch and the Moloch shoot the Iceni and Diemos.
Is there a easy way to do this? I know about the fire-beam sexp but its a pain to do that reapetly.

Set one ship to Friendly, one to Hostile, and one to Neutral. By default Friendlys will fire on Hostiles and Neutrals, Hostiles will fire on Friendlys and Neutrals, and Neutrals will fire on Friendlys. You can change this by checking the "All teams at war" box in the mission specs.
This is one of the most basic FRED skills, man! :o

I want both the Mol and the Die to have the red look in their name. It would look funny if the diemos or moloch had a blue letters in its name. Is thier some sexp I can use or something?
-
They don't have blue if you set them to neutral. They had red names in FS2 (the NTF) but were still neutral (blue) in FRED.

Oh I guess I got the color in fred mixed up with the color in the game. Ok that'll work. thanks all/

I always thought Neutral would make ships not attack anyone, and noone attack them. But in fact, you can even use the hostile targeting control to target neutrals. Its weird, but its a necessity.

AFAIK you can use the fire-beam to fire the (beam) weapons regardless of the IFF of the target ship.
-
yeah, itl save and work, but FRED will get mad at ya....

The Unknown team acts that way. [V] used the wrong name for the neutral team. It was used for the HOL and the NTF. In the missions where the HOL appeared they wouldn`t attack the Shivans but would attack GTA and PVN ships. Something similar was true with the NTF (The NTF never attacked the shivans).
BTW if you tick the All teams at war from the mission specs editor then all sides will try to kill each other.

In fs1-2, the hol, and ntf were both neutral...

I seem to remember saying just that.... :)

I didn't know you could make a friendly fire a beam at a friendly...
That's awesome, now I can have the moon station fire the microwave beam to the GX-99 so it can use it's satelite cannon! Go Gundam!!! (Kaboom!)
