Title: HELP! Can't install all mods with java installer

I own Freespace 2 on GOG and am trying to use the FSO java installer to install FSO and all the mods, including the Freespace 1 port.

The Freespace 1 port isn't installing!   It keeps failing.  Please assist.  Is there ANY other way to install this?  I tried the Knossos and it isn't working.

Knossos is the moat reliable.   

What's your Internet connection like and is it set up correctly?

I tried Knossos.  It wants me to install from the gog installer but it fails every time so I can't do this through Knossos.

EDIT:  I think I am getting somewhere.   I will update after my chosen mods have been installed and I can playtest.

EDIT2: So far, so good.  I am playing FS2 with the Media Vps, and the cockpit mod.  I will try the FSPort later.  I only have a 1080p screen but I am running it in 3840x2160 DSR, with both FXAA and 4xAA with 8xSS at a smooth framerate (I have a 165Hz G-Sync Compatible monitor (ASUS VG278QR)

The main mirror hosting the FreeSpace Port files is currently offline due to a hard drive failure on the server.  I'm currently restoring a backup, but it will take some time to upload all the files.  It should be working again in a day or two.
