Title: Stuck in the Act 3 three-parter in Derelict

i started replaying Derelict recently and have reached Act 3, which opens with a three-parter mission (Resupply and Revelation, Shepherding 101, Striking the Line). The point in that trio of missions is that you must make it through all three parts with the ship and loadout you chose for the first one.

So, I’ve now reached the third part, only to discover that I’ve got the entirely wrong ship and loadout for it. I am simply unable to win this mission at my skill level, but since I’ve declined to skip the mission once, the option to skip it seems to not be available anymore. Also, the option to “Replay previous mission” only allows me to go as far back as the second part of the mission, with no apparent possibility to return to the first part so I can choose a better-suitedd ship and loadout.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to proceed, before I decide to just reset the entire campaign out of frustration?

Unfortunately, the red-alert system only allows you to go back to the immediately previous mission.  There is no way to change your ship and loadout if you've already reached the third mission.  In this situation I recommend using cheats to either change your loadout or kill/protect the relevant ships.
