Title: Gamepad detection in FSO 24.2.0

Help, please! With 24.2.0 Freespace does not recognize any of my joysticks. Instead it sees mouse as Joystick 0 axis for some reason. With 24.0.2 everything works fine, but with 24.2.0 it is this.
Problem exists in both Win 7 and 10. Changing devices settings in Windows control panel or in Knossos does not seem to influence anything.

Note, input settings for most mods using FSO version 24.2.0 or higher will need to be changed in-game by default. To change these new settings, play a modern mod and then go to the in-game "Options" menu and then press F3 to bring up the new menu.
