Title: Guitarists
Post by: ShadowWolf_IH on September 10, 2002, 12:53:56 pm
Is there an electric guitarist in the house that would be willing to help me out with some tracks?  Need to be able to put on pc.

or if anyone knows of a program out there to change violins to electric guitars that would be good too.

two programs come to mind, but i can't remember the names of either of them.  I lent the CD i burnt them on to my music teacher, so i'll get them from him on Wednesday (my lesson)

but anyway, what you could do is you'd have the tablature, (and you could change it/edit it, etc.) and then you could play it in like over 70 instruments (and you can download additional) so you could play a piece of music using electric guitar, violin, etc. and the quality was actually pretty good! :)

Does it have to be a tablature? or can can it be an MP3 file.  Basically i want to take a violin mp3 and change it to guitar.

And by the way thor i am also a drummer....cool.  For a long long time

None that I know of, but if you can *cough* obtain a version of a program called Reason and get a midi keyboard there's absolutely no reason (ha) why you shouldn't be able to reproduce it easy enough.

Thats why I picked Thor as my name.  It kind of came from my other nickname, Drummer of Thunder, or DofT for short.  I play loud.  real loud.  I have the honour of braking a few symbols:D , and using the largest sticks I know of, The Nightstick.  I play a black 5-piece Pearl Forum (kind of funny, this being a forum and all) with Sabian symbals.  You?

23 piece yamaha with Zildjian.  I like the chinese crash best, but they just don't last very long.  love the sound they give though.  Right now we are custom making me a new kit.  A company out houston offers some lumber.  The sample was 6 inches long by 1 inch wide, and an 8th of an inch thick.  I bent it into a circle and it didn't snap.  And for what it's worth....i only use Alex van halen signature series sticks.

when i say 23 that includes the rototoms and the 30 inch gong.

i don't think you can import MP3s with this song, but their database (kept by users) has pretty much every released song you can think of.... from Blink 182 all the way to old bands like led zeppelin etc.

i mean, you can't use this program on FS2 music or anything  ;)

it uses its own file extension and format :)

do it yourself, then you can take all the credit :D

also i don't do Freespace kind of music (with all the synths and weird distortion they use lol :)  )

first go to www.magix.com  ... they were awesome a few years ago, i don't know what they do now... they're not well known, but they're awesome. (were)... download MUSIC MAKER, if they still have it.

but how about you get the following programs:

there's many others... i lost a lot when my computer went down.  now i only have a handful... like 2 or 3.

:(

someone else will post here and help though, don't worry :)  even if they don't.  take any of the three (or four) programs that are first in the list (magix, acid, cakewalk, fruity loops) and you can make something awesome

hell... you could do it with magix music maker if you wanted to! :)
