Recommended Build: 24.2.0 Stable

Albion is the third campaign in the Solaris continuity, and finishes the story arc started in Black Sun.

A Commonwealth battle squadron arrives in Sulsia and prepares for war. Ross travels down the path of self-realisation, and finds acceptance in the most unlikely of places.

Set in an original universe where the discovery of hyperspace has led to a Golden Age of human colonisation and technology, Solaris takes place during a time of great changes. However, this is also an age of extremes - the Great War left several planets ecologically devastated, including the cradle of humanity, Earth. Like the Cold War of the 20th Century, humanity is faced with terrifying new doomsday technologies that have the potential to bring about Armageddon.

Thank you everyone for your patience! This was originally supposed to be released with Act 2, but time constraints and various life events meant that this part of the story had to be delayed multiple times.
Over time, the story across all three acts got rewritten and revised many times and has developed into an intensely personal story based on my experiences over the past few years. Hopefully this makes for a better, more engaging story overall!

There are still a few issues left to fix and as I address them one by one I'll put hotfixes up on Knossos.

I know this has just been released, but I am absolutely ready and excited to start working on the next part, and expand even more on the Solaris universe!

Issues still to be fixed:

To be updated as more issues are found

Hotfix (update 3.0.2)

- whilst playing around with angle of incidence damage multipliers I had unintentionally made Commonwealth Plasma turrets do one third the amount of damage they should have been doing. This was making missions like "The Lion and the Dragon" more difficult than intended. This has been fixed.

I have a weird one.  I was replaying the whole thing from the beginning over the last couple weeks, just so I have the whole story fresh in my head.  And to see any of the tweaks you've made!  Everything has been working fine until tonight.  I updated to 3.0.2 last night and played it fine.  But tonight, I cannot get Solaris to acknowledge any input from my joystick at all.  I don't understand what could have happened.

To try and diagnose, I went ahead and tried playing BTA-Standalone as well.  Both launched from the same session of Knossos.NET.  Joystick gives plenty of joy in BTA-Standalone.  Everything recognized without a hitch.

I then ran a debug for Solaris to try and see if my CH Flightstick even shows up in the debug spew.  It does appear to be there, but completely unresponsive within the game itself.  I'm not savvy enough to do much more than I have.  Debug log attached below.

[edit] Also tried IT 101 and rebooted computer.  No change.

Well, I’m still not sure what on earth was causing the problem, but I tried again this weekend, switched to the latest nightly build, and my joystick worked just like it’s supposed to.

So, problem not solved, but problem over!

Maybe an odd question, but would it be possible to get a full music credits list?

The versions of Holst's Jupiter are amazing.

Probably an even odder answer, but every track (bar one or two) is pretty much remade/remastered/rearranged by me. Sometimes it's as simple as "tracing" over the original audio with new synths/samples, sometimes it's a comprehensive rearrangement.

Thank you, I also liked how Jupiter turned out  :D It's a cover of this excellent version of I Vow to Thee
