Here is a tool that will help you spell-check - and to a limited extent, grammar-check - missions, tables, and generally anything that contains an XSTR.  Simply choose your dictionary, upload the files, and process them.  After a few seconds, you'll get a report.  The tool will highlight any corrected words, and you have the option of de-selecting any change you don't want to use.  You can also choose different dictionaries to spell-check translations, although results may vary between dictionaries.  I made sure to include several English variations for the benefit of our Commonwealth modders.

This started as an experiment in "vibe coding", and the results are mixed.  Claude is pretty powerful, but it requires a lot of close supervision, and it will happily wander down the garden path if you let it.  Nevertheless, with a lot of iteration, several dead ends, a couple redesigns, and a lot of perseverance, the final result is pretty good.  I used it to spell-check Lightning Marshal, and Colt used it to spell-check Walls Closing.

Happy to take suggestions on improvements, fixes, or things people want to see.  One of the things I want to add is a list of all FS1 and FS2 ships and weapons so it doesn't flag those as unrecognized proper names.
