[glow=blue]GTC Aegis
The Aegis Close Escort Cruiser was developed to replace the Aeolus as the Alliance’s anti-fighter and convoy escort cruiser. Featuring superior armor and maneuverability, the Aegis at 250 meters in length uses less than 7500 of its 550000 cubic meters to accommodate its skeleton crew of 75. Virtually all space onboard is dedicated to the four JE-2400 Fusion Thrusters, seven D5 Photon Beam emplacements, two D9x Photon Beam emplacements, and four twin barrel 70cm projectile turrets. These armaments allow the Aegis to engage a multitude of enemy craft, from fighters and bombers to cruisers and destroyers with a capacity for dispatching enemy fighters unparalleled by any other vessel.[/glow]

Actually, I got the name from a mythology place, Aegis had something to do with defense (can't pull it up from school, will post definition later)

Aegis
A protective device that was originally associated with Zeus, but also, and later solely, with Athena. It is variously considered to be a bright-edged thundercloud (because when Zeus used it lightning flashed and thunder sounded) fashioned by Hephaestus, or the skin of the divine goat Amaltheia. It is represented as a sort of cloak, sometimes covered with scales and fringed with serpents, and with the head of Medusa fastened in the middle. The Aegis could also serve as a shield and in that fashion Athena wears it upon her breastplate.

Thats the one, give or take ;)

Lookin' good!
Just how far along is 158Th?
-
Err, at varying stages of development?
Seriously, mods are progressing well - more like very well - while missions are taking a bit longer than we'd projected, part of that is due to the fact that we don't have that many fredders and that we've lost so many people along the way.
-
I can't wait to see the finishing product.
I'll either kill you or bow befor you......

Wow. I don't remember the ol' Mars looking that good. Great new name--and even better texture work. Good job, Narol.

speak of the devil... where the hell have you been? :p :D
(PS, I think you meant the Aegis.. unless the Aegis used to be Mars.. :nervous: )

Mars was my working name for the Aegis mesh.
As for where have I been? I was a cable guy. Let me tell you: its one hell of a lot more work than you might think.

That brown texture is so cool...
Can you send it to me?:D

You'll get them soon enough ;)

Very cool. Very cool indeed. Looks sorta like a submarine, is the super structure just ahead of the engines the bridge?
 It is quite nice, and loaded to the gills with firepower.

Yes, that would be the bridge :D
