The downloads page has a disabled link for the SCP download, and after I installed SCP on the HOTU version, the retail exe's don't work so I can't use that.
Can someone give me a link for the SCP build / patch to regular R1?

The patch isn't ready yet. It's undergoing final testing and alteration.
For now only regular fs2 or standard INF builds are capable of running it.

The original R1 is incompatible with and post HTL build of FSO. The patch gets around this and other errors, while creating somewhat of a visual improvement. Late testing of the patch is underway. However, during early R2 production, the INF team has chosen to discard much of the existing missions, story, ships, and weapons of R1, and create a new R1 that will be relaeased at the same time as R2. As a result, the existing R1 is obsolite as far as the future story is concerned, but its still a good campaign and a teaser for future Inferno work, which is why the team chose to patch it to work with FSO.
Later!

What work is left to do for R2? Just missions and weapons?
The INF staff aren't working on the R1 patch. It's only being worked on when I'm in the mood to work on it (hence why its taken so long)
R2 our top priorities are finalising the weapons and ships. Hopefully I should have all ships finalised by the end of December. The weapons will probably take longer though.
Missions are being worked on as well. I've seen early drafts of the first 7 or 8 missions.

I tried running Inferno R1 with the SCP build 2.6 i think? It was a build from like 8 months ago or something, and the fps is like 6-10 if im lucky and only if there is just one cruiser there... anything more and its beyond unbarable. My comp isnt that bad:
P4 2.8Ghz HT
Xp Pro
512MB 3200 RAM
128MB nVidia FX 5200
It isnt the best but it should run Fs2. Is there sometrhing incompatible with SCP and Inferno or does SCP just leech the **** out of my performance?

First of all, its probably 3.6 and not 2.6. Any way, your performance issues may be related to what command line options you're using. If you would, please post your entire command line with all arguments.
