Title: Descent 3 on Linux

So I recently got Descent 3 for Linux, and everything (menues ect looks like this

The actual game runs, but only at a couple of FPS.

My direct rendering is on.

Its the new version, Everything looks like that in an effort to do "matrix prception style" gameplay........... :nervous:

That's pretty funky.  No idea what's going on there, but perhaps someone on the Descent BB can help you out, so try posting there.

I actually think that I've seen that problem before.  Did you apply the updates (last version being 1.4.0b)?  I think it's using the wrong libGL, which is also why it would be slow (especially if you are using the NVIDIA drivers).
