And before anyone says, I do not blame John Romero for killing LGS. Not entirely.
-
First option without a doubt. As good as LGS's games were, Deus Ex owns all.
-
lgs ?
looking glass systems ?
thought he worked for ion storm ?
-
Looking Glass was never part of Eidos. It was acquired by EA before it was shut down. Romero had nothing to do with LGS. I thought at the time Romero went from id, to Ion Storm, not austin, but the other Ion Storm studio that brought us Anachronox.
You'd better set the record straight before ZylonBane sees this and sets it right for you... :nervous:

Looking Glass Studios went out of business on May 24, 2000 during a financial crisis related to their publisher at the time, Eidos Interactive.

I second that, John Romero funded Ion Storm (Dallas), however Deus Ex was developed by Ion Storm (Austin).
Deus Ex was developed by Ion Storm and Published by Eidos, he means that Eidos was left out of funds because they invest most of their money in Deus Ex, and so they couldn't save LGS.

I suppose developers would put that down as an "occupational hazard"

looking glass lives on in Irrational, whom made system shock two.

I dont want to think of life without Deus Ex so....................~*click*
