Looks quite swanky. Now the game could be crap, but just as likely it could be good. I'm just hoping that a decent English version comes out because, let's face it, we're all starving for space sims. Can anyone find out whether a English release is planned, because the release date is Q4 2006 (which is now.)

Yeah some of them shots look pretty sweet, I do hope this and that other Russian one (The Tomorrow War IIRC) do come out in english over here!
-
This was actually posted in another thread, and someone e-mailed them about an English release. They said something along the lines of, "If a U.S. production company shows interest", IIRC.
-
Well good luck then... if its not a MMORPG or a FPS.. :doubt:
Anyways we need to get graphics designers that can do that type of backgrounds in Freespace

Very pretty looking game, indeed.

9 unique missions, connected by a deeply detailed storyline
Hmmm....

Nine is way too short, unless the missions are long as hell or are in sub-mission format/episodic format like Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Underground and there's at least two sub-missions in each mission.
-
I am going to learn Russian.
But nine is a bit short. Actually probably too short to merit learning the language.

Personally, I'd rather have a play time measurement than a number of missions. Play time will tell you how much you'll get out of it. Number of missions is useless.

And we all wondered what they were doing since the fall of the Soviet Union. Now we know the truth.

Russians get all the good everything. Space sims, RTS games, hats...

In communist Russia, everything good gets you!

Hot Russian women... mmmmm, the accent they have when speaking english... ;)
-
This brings back memories of when i was in ukraine for 7 months. Many hot chicks over there.
On the other hand, i've been learning russian for the past 3 years, so, i coiuld play that game and have a basic understanding of what is written and said :P
Though i'd still prefer if they make an english release. This game has niiice graphics, a nice hud(similar to fs2 hud), and the view from the cockpit is awesome.
If you want russian women, come up to alaska, there's a ton of *****y russian chicks here
I wonder if that game has a demo, it'd probably be a good experience for me to have fun while learning russian.
On the other hand if others are interested in learning russian, i highly recommend it. It's spoken in a form like spanish, but much more complicated, but as soon as you start learning it really does stick with you and you do remember stuff. Hell it only takes like 2 weeks to learn and write the alphabet. A couple of months before you become confident in speaking russian(my grammar in russian was like **** though).
-
If this game has a mission editor (like FRED/FRED2) and is easily (accesably) MODed... then... it could be a windfall, graphically speaking.
After all, newer engine... better capabilities.

The Tomorrow War was released the week of October 20th in Russia.
1C opened a office in London earlier this year, one of the products of that is the pending 2007 release of Blood Magic in Europe. It was their biggest title last year in Russia.
