Title: a small graphic? glich............. or is it?
Post by: captain-custard on December 31, 2007, 02:52:43 pm
well here we go.............. when running fso and fs2 etc on my laptop (acer 9410, 17" screen , 1400x 900) every thing works fine , no major bugs no crashes etc . when i finish playing and exit the game my screen is not the same afterwards , its bleached , the whites are too whte as if ive turned the backlight up by 50% more than the maximum, ive tried turning it backdown and up to bring it back to normal etc. this happens with all mods not just mediavps, only solution is a restart which doesnt take that long but its a little boring.

basic comp info...... xp sp2, build 2600, 1gb ram, dualcore 1.6gb intel, nvidia 7300 graphic

freespace info,

tureys installer .... evrything :D

any help would be great, thanks    andi aka captain custard

I think I've had similar issues, when playing with my older computer. So far I've deduced that it has something to do with the fact that the lighting settings for desktop use and fullscreen 3D applications aren't the same. I've cranked up the brightness for fullscreen applications because it used to be too ****ing dark. And now, sometimes when I play FS with it and exit, the same thing you have. It's brighter.

I guess that for some reason the computer or the OS fails to switch from the fullscreen lighting settings to the desktop lighting settings. **** happens. I too am only able to get rid of it by rebooting, which isn't fun.

In the troubleshooting section of the Launcher's feature tab tick the "Disable setting of gamma" option and it should go away.
