Title: Invisible asteroids
Post by: SkewedLogic on February 15, 2008, 11:02:54 am
I've just started playing FreeSpace 2.

A few missions in is a mission where you have to shoot down certain asteroids to clear a way for a larger ship. White brackets show the asteroids that need to be shot down, but there are no asteroids, anywhere.. let alone within the white brackets.

Has anyone come across anything like this?. If so, how would I go about fixing it?.

I downloaded FS2 from this site and at the end of the download a message poped up stating that a section may not have been downloaded properly and that I may have to redownload it. Could this be the problem?. I don't remember exactly what the message said. If this could be the problem, will I have to DL the whole thing again, or is there a way to detect the part that was defective and redownload only that part?.

Any help is appreciated.

Enable jpg/tga textures from the Launcher's Features tab.

BTW If you used Turey's installer, it should recognise what has been installed and what has not, therefore it should download any missing parts!
