Title: Ship / tech lab?
Post by: Colonol Dekker on March 18, 2008, 03:29:52 pm
I remember there being something akin to a more detailed ship viewer accessible by a keypress. I've looked through most immediate reference, but can't find the specifics. A little guidance pls.

Cheers, the reason i'm asking is cos i'm getting error windows from Scoobs very generous multi ship release. The capitals generate an error from the weapon section. "required token = [#End], [$subsystem] or [$name]" etc.
I'm running 369 :(

That wont help you much there... Post an example of the errors here and lets have a look at it.

Once i skip(click ok a million times) i can view the ships.
Here's a direct quote of what fs2 dumps on me.
Error: washington-shp.tbm(line 115:
Error: required token = [End], [$Subsystem] or [$Name], found [$Flags]:     ("carry-no-d].
File:E-path-parselo.cpp, line 630.
The obvious was shorthanded to save typing space on my sony ericsson. :) cheers guys.

Apparently it gets caught on the subsystem flags entry... My first advice would be 'get a newer build'... Failing that then either removing or replacing the subsystem flag entries with older syntax.

EDIT... If the new build doesnt solve the problem then post the table entry referenced in the error here. Especially the line referenced in it (subsystem flags line) and most importantly few (lets say five) preceding lines the line mentioned in the error.

It's the "recent builds" thread, the text just appears as standard text. Ie-" download it here." on this poxy phone some links work and some i have to enter straight into my address bar equivalant. Hyperlinks are the same, ftp access is a big old no-no. FreeSpaceMods.net is a rare saving grace to my sanity. I refuse to buy an iphone though :)

Its the "12th march 2008 etc" thread found in the "recent builds" child board of the "FreeSpace source code project" forum. Can't get a single working link. Crap phone wap. The sites fine, it's just my method of access causing me so much aggro lol.

Try grabbing it here: http://scoobydoo.freespacemods.net/Completed/fs2_open_3_6_10.rar (http://scoobydoo.freespacemods.net/Completed/fs2_open_3_6_10.rar)

This is the one I used for testing.
