Title: Age of Empires 2 Language
Post by: colecampbell666 on June 20, 2008, 10:47:21 am
Well my old discs finally bit the dust, so when I was in Quebec I snatched a new copy. The guy told me that both English and French were included, but I can't find a way of changing the language.

Funny, I always thought they were talking gibberish.

"Comandament?" "Khuuslef." "Eobar!"

It's all different dialects, IIRC. I mean the interface language. I'd rather have a villager than a villeagois.

Figured it out, had to pirate an English version, and replace the language.dll and language_x1.dll.

You could have just used the patches supplied by Microsoft.

Here
http://www.microsoft.com/games/empires/downloads.htm (http://www.microsoft.com/games/empires/downloads.htm)

and here:
http://www.microsoft.com/games/aoeexpansion/downloads.htm (http://www.microsoft.com/games/aoeexpansion/downloads.htm)

Should work...

It was already patched to the latest version. And I fixed it.
