Fear is met and destroyed with courage. James Bell
Introduction: The GTVA wages war on two fronts. Offensives into Sirius from Alpha Centuri and Deneb have been met by stiff resistance, until Special Operations Command devise a daring operation- With a 90% Chance of Failure, success would shatter the spine of NTF command in Sirius. Their Mission: Strike Alrukabi
Alrukabi: An alteration of Alrukaba, an alternate name for the Sirius System.
Team:
- eliex, FREDer and Tester (And from whom the trailer's inspiration comes from)
- Commander Zane, Tester
- BlackMan aka Dilmah G (The dude who FREDed the cutscene :P without committing a single felony)
Trailer is exactly that, created as an in-mission cutscene, accessible via the tech-room database.

Feedback very welcome :D

Cool. Downloading now.
-
Impressive. This must be one of the first cutscenes with an actual dogfight in it
-
Well, a dogfight that was the main focus of the cutscene :P Thanks

That honor goes to a little-known campaign (whose name I cannot remember) which had a cutscene opener for every mission. Sorry. :P
-
That sounds like a pretty cool campaign :P

Not really. It wasn't actively bad, mind you...just boring.
-
hmmm the clip was really good. kinda vague, but cool. was the last few seconds, with that large ship warping in supposed to be slow motion? if it was, it looked cool. if not, then that computer has lag issues.

Ya, it was deliberate to emphasize the appearance of the Hecate. :P
-
I didn't knew the NTF had Hecate class ships, do they?
-
They do now :P They've been used in a few user-made campaigns as part of the NTF, Flames of War for example.

OK good... well it did its job then :P
-
Yeah, it was eliex's idea :P I had to tweak it a bit to get it working right, it used to take about 25 seconds for the whole thing to unfold at first from the beat slow-mo hits, but as you can see we fine tuned it.
-
It was an excellent idea... it was a good teaser. When exactly is supposed to take place?
-
Thanks, well if you're referring to the events in the actual trailer well... the scouts get pwned obviously :P It'll all make sense when it's released :)
-
ok i can wait... how far along is it??? ;7
-
Hmm, the mission department is about half way through; the majority of the missions are complete but require final bugfixing.
There are some deliberations, and might take longer if the campaign is ever going to be VA'ed although it is unlikely.
TKOA's project head, Dilmah G is quite busy thoroughly testing WiH, but progress is steady. :)

:sigh: if you say so...

When it's done. :)
That doesn't make much sense.
He didn't ask when will it be done.
He asked how far along is it - as in, what you got done :P

Fixed. :D

When you quoted my post, I kept looking for what you fixed in it.
Then I realized you edited your post. :D
Ooh, so it's almost done. I'll be waiting for it then :P

Yeah eliex got it right on, VA-ing is a VERY long process so we'll eliminate that for the moment. Even though it's a mini campaign (less than 10 missions) we're putting 100% into it to get it relatively bug-free and ironed-out by release :D
