.... i've got searched but i do not found nothing...
i've played at BTRL it's wonderful mod of the game..... ;) ;)

Excuse me? It's because they HAVE A LIFE that they can't get this out sooner. And given that having their lifes is what makes it possible for them to make this (Money's gotta come from somewhere), I'd rather they wouldn't stop having lifes.

Yeah, saying 'fair enough no release this year' is ****ing stupid. What he should have taken away was the release could happen this year, but it also might not.
Somehow he manages to miss this time and again.

Briefing 01:
All right pilots, here's the frakking deal. We've got to frakking escort these frakking mining ships because these frakking companies don't want to hire any frakking security, so its up to us: the frakking colonial fleet. For some reason or another, we're going to be flying mk.II Vipers. Why? Don't frakking ask me. Also, the frakking command navigation program still hasn't been sent to our frakking Battlestar Tissuepapertica. Don't worry though, I torrented it last night and will give it to you on a frakking thumb drive tomorrow.
We're going to be all frakking alone out there with the frakking miners pilot. Don't expect any help from the frakking battlestar since it hasn't yet been modelled or rendered. GET IN THE FRAKKING TUBES!

Possibly it would be good if somewhat more transparency came into the project? A "Whats done, whats left to do"-Thread combined with the Eyecandy-Threads can avoid many irritating questions.
And perhaps one see something in the to-do-list, that he/she can do, and join?
Only as a sugestion.

I can't speak for the Diaspora team but I'm going to guess that open development would be a nightmare.
If you have talents that you can help with, and you want to help out, then apply to join the team. They've made it clear what they need.

Problem with those is that we get more "Why is model x still unfinished?, why is model y still untextured?" questions instead. Backseat project management is always fun. :rolleyes:
Things will get a hell of a lot more transparent as R1 gets closer. Those of you who were around when the BtRL demo was under development will remember that we got a lot more specific about what was left to do as it became less and less work.

I guess I'll never understand why people keep asking questions which simply can't get answered or are answerable by themselves. I'm Dev by myself, but not for any FS project and a transparent development is a mess. Not that we've made any so far, but we've watched others and it really became worse after the game or whatsoever was released. Then people begin really to cry about things that maybe were skipped during development or were even different than they had expected. People then start crying and argueing with the Devs what they could have done better. That's why it's better to look at feedback and ideas from a community and try to realize as much of it as possible without losing quality of the initial gameplay. If anything turned really worse, there's the possibility to patch it away or better.
That picture is missing something important. A sign that says something like "Get the frak off. You'll mess up this precious blue pearl in about 150k years."
