I've seen a lot of threads on here related to the new Caprica series. Does this mean that I'm going to have to watch Caprica? :P
Also, have you guys seen The Plan yet?
-
I don't think there's really any content from Caprica to contain. Diaspora is set during the time of the BSG series. There aren't likely to be any of those crappy maybe-only-virtual aerofighters around on Theseus.
And The Plan sucks hard.
-
No, Caprica is not required viewing (although it's still a very good show, it doesn't focus on explodey stuff).
And yes, I believe most people here have seen "The Plan" (and have then proceeded to reach for the brain bleach to erase all memory of it)

We've seen a few things, nothing major though. 1x10 for instance had a quick shot of a freighter type we'd never seen before IIRC.
-
Caprica gives some insight into different colonies (Gemenon having a religious civil war for instance), which might influence little flavor dialog things, etc.

Ah ok cool, phew :P
Haha it did didn't it. I found it completely fail.

FTFY.
Nothing stopping future releases from maybe exploring different bits of the timeline.

Besides my Shinden Viper is a cooler proto-Viper then the one featured in Caprica.

was the Plan really that that that bad? I thought the concept and trailers were interesting, have not seen it yet.

It retroactively made the whole series stupid.

It really really did. It was as if they were trying to make sense of something (sense of six hurr hurr :P) but in the end:
It didn't

They tried to explain stuff that never should have been explained. They tried to retcon the mess the Galactica Mythos had become into one coherent mess (which failed abysmally).
The only thing worthwhile to come of that show was this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5AruzZYpxE).

That track is from "Razor."

Woops.
