Title: Star Wolves 3
Post by: TrashMan on January 03, 2011, 06:06:35 am
Surprised no one mentioned it. It's good. VERY good. And it's got some nice skyboxes.

It's also the reason why for this Christmas I didn't finish some FS2 stuff I planned to...I got..sidetracked:

I kinda liked that game. Though I have played it only once (not sure which path I choosed). If there would be a sandbox feature, I would have give it another try. Still it's a nice game. SW 2 was a little disappointing , but SW3 was really good (though ****ing hard, I mostly cheat my way through it)

Meh. Rather easy, actually.
Kind of annoying you couldn't quick travel at will, though.
Or at least, I never figured it out if you could.
Got annoyed with getting the choice of scavenging every single piece of debris in the system and then having some overly long and rather boring trips to the next area or losing all the cash that's still floating around.
At least they added another stage to the time compression.

There are several hidden stashes you can find if you look hard enough. They are usually well hidden, but can net you lots of neat stuff. ;7

I might pick it up. A bit pricey though, I'm regretting not buying the deal pack.

Dangit..I'm having trouble importing/exporting models into this game.

If I export trough Truespace, the ship is fine, but collision spheres are missing.

If I export trough 3D Max, the faces are all inverted..... grrrr

SW2 was worse than the first one...I agree.

SW3 is actually very good...even if it does have a slow start. But the design of the 5th generation fighters is fugly as hell.. Thank god for Templar variants.

I liked the first one. Tried the second and it was beyond horrible. On top of that, they had the worst voice acting in the Universe in that one. I hope they didn't use the same actors for SW3..
