Hi all! I'd like to introduce myself as Syrk's official composer (with occasional FREDding and webmaster-ing on the side). I've made more progress than I thought I would with this project, and have definitely surpassed my goals for Act I. With the Act I release date inching closer and closer, I thought I'd try and work up some interest by slowly releasing some information about my music.
First up, I've finished 4 in-flight tracks and plan to finish a 5th - these include (for better or worse) an ambient track, 3 battle tracks, and allied and enemy arrival tracks. To kick things off, I have posted a preview of the ambient tracks on the website under Media/Music - you can also check out the following link:

As the release date approaches, I will release more teasers and begin to reveal track names. I hope you enjoy Syrk's music!

And Sololop, amazing job on that logo in the middle of that picture I just posted. I wonder...Just what is that logo anyways? And where did that gorgeous background come from? And isn't it strange I went through all the trouble to make that picture in the first place?
And no, I'm not artificially trying to stimulate discussion :P

Very small parts of it gave me a Mass Effect vibe (Like.. 2 - 4 second snippets)
That aside, those are awesome. Built up a little more anticipation for Syrk because of it :yes:

I've added yet another music teaser to the website - this time some battle music. Only about a week and a half to go before Syrk Act I is released!

I have to say, so far I've loved everything you've put out. It does a very good job of retaining the feel of FreeSpace while simultaneously taking it in a new, and in my opinion, awesome direction. I don't know where you get your inspiration (Mass Effect, Starcraft?) but keep it up! :yes:

As for my inspiration, much of it actually comes straight from FreeSpace, and surprisingly from the generators/instruments/sounds themselves. I'm also all about mixing orchestral, electronic and rock together in my own eccentric (and usually dark) way.
You aren't the first person to bring up Mass Effect... But I've never actually played it. Maybe I should :nervous:
