Title: Thrusters And thier Axis

At home i have made a cool model with 4 thrusters protruding out of the ship at an angle ( not directly along the x axis ). My question is is there any way a programmer could make the thrusters scale along the negatave X axis of the model and not the axis of freespace.

This could also be possable for rotating submodels, I.E. make them rotate around say the models Z axis and not freespaces axis.
