They're to fill out some missing ship slots for the UEF fleet, considering they lack a Capella-era fleet to co-exist with their current one.

A lot of models are in, but their coding needs work in the areas of weapon range (since the fights need to be at much larger distances compared to the screenies) and ship acceleration and turning rates (since the values Sins uses are formulated differently from FreeSpace's so there's no good conversion), so we're still a good ways away from a UEF/Tev release.

No the new ships are going to be New Prototype Models, the blue one is the Horizon Destroyer, the green one is the Phobos Destroyer and the red one is the Mars Super Destroyer.

I'm curious, will the super destroyers be filling in for the position of dreadnought? (Like the Marza etc)

Also, why make the UEF a playable faction? If you're planning to base the game off of Rebellion, they don't have a juggernaut to fit in for the spot of Titan like the GTVA and Shivans would, nor would they have one since it goes against their ethos. Wouldn't they be better utilized as the hostile-to-everyone ships on planets before they're conquered.

What is going to be used for pirates? The GEF?

I would also have waited on the Vexxor since to my knowledge Steve-O hasn't posted his remade version.

e: would it be possible to greatly enlarge trade vessels and make protecting them actually possible? Could cut down on lag and make securing trade routes actually necessary (http://p3d.in/gFvNA you guys could have this as a UEF cargo ship if you need one)

The Super Destroyers or juggernauts will fill the role as titans, Uef will be playable with the mars super destroyer as the titan if it ever gets finished, the uef will be playable as i might have a trick up my sleeve with the shivans and the uef. The pirates are unknown yet, might be the gef or the Vishnans, yet unknown. I already have steve-o's latest vexor, with is in the works of optimizing it and rigging it,

Vishnan being pirates wouldn't make a lot of sense either, whereas the GEF would fit magnificently. The Vishnan would have potential to be another playable race, I think.

the lucifer is a capital ship with the role of siege and the gef will most likely be the pirates, with the vishans as another playable race to counter the shivans, but i get where your going.

I don't have any experience modding Sins (although I do play it a lot) but I definitely like the direction this is going in. Keep it up, it looks great!

 Looking awesome, the only complaint I have is the mod's name. It could really use a change. Ex: "Blue Planet: Strategic Command" The current one is not very catchy.

well i just spent 1 to 2 hours gutting stock sins out of the mod. I have to import around 10 more ships in and then i can start finishing the coding and hopefully have a playable demo out buy the end of the month if i am lucky

Currently, I think our plan is to have the GTVA split into two playable factions, one for the Terrans (mostly balanced but I'm stuck on capitalship powers) and one for the Vasudans. We'll also have the UEF and Shivans but I'm not sure about the Vishnans.

At the moment, only the Terran(GTVA) are balanced, however my progress on this front is currently halted because I'm out of ideas for capitalship abilities and the tech tree for them isn't started on from what I know.

Ok I need to run some errands, I will do some more of this later.

Ok so here's my thoughts (This is your mod, ignore this if you see fit):

Hecate - I would actually like to suggest moving the colony bits  to the Orion, due to them being older designs, they would be less likely to be found on the front lines, but they still are useful space frames (also blocky storage) In my mind, they fit the bill for colonizer better.
keep strategic focus. Add "New Recruits". Add "Fleet Coordination". Ultimate "Call Reserves". (As hecate is not a front line unit, it feels weird for it's ultimate to be a large dmg beam a la cleansing brillance)
Fleet Coordination - all friendly ships in system gain passive damage and speed. Does not stack
damage 5% 10% 15% 20%
speed 10%
New Recruits- restore x squadrons on target ship to full
antimatter 150 135 120 100
cd 120
squadrons restored - 3 5 7 10
Call Reserves - spawn x Deimos heavy cruisers in gravity well.
antimatter  150 125
cd 180
cruisers called in 5 8

Titan - Add "anti-capital weaponry".
anti-capital weaponry - adds dot or/straight dmg. against capitals, titans, and star bases. stops passive regeneration on capitals. stacks three times. Reduced anti-fighter capabilities
dot 3 6 9 12 or dmg 8% 16% 24% 32%
anti fighter damage -10% -20% -30% -40%
stops passive regeneration

Erebus - I'm thinking move tactical jump to Q and add 2 more ranks

for it's ultimate give it "Override Safeties" ala the Kol battleship's finest hour. keep the antimatter restored/sec, Change the hull repaired /sec to reduced weapon cool down.  Add another property (if possible): tactical jump can now be used instantly, and on 10 sec cd. But every time you use tactical jump while "Override Safeties" is on, the Erebus takes damage equal to 20% of max hp.
and again if possible, add a property that makes the Erebus take dot equal to 10% max hp over the course of the duration.
