Long time ago the last update from Aerotech Total Conversion.
Now the time is come the community can test the first Alpha Version and send Feedback about this Project.
Befor you will start download read the Article where the Alpha is.
It is only a Ship and Weapon test Alpha. I will explain the points of the test

FIGHTER CONFIGURATION
The Engine hasn´t the same properties to you known from the other
Mechwarrior games.
So i must find a good way to give the player freedom in configuration with a good
balance.
The Weapons has Numbers in the Weapon Loadout.
In the Ship Selection there are Datapictures from the ships you can see what number
of weapon the ship can load out.
A Example:
In the Datapictures you see „P-Bank: 1-3“ so you can in the weapon load out install
all weapons they have Number 1, 2 or 3.
Also the Fighters are PURE-Tech. You can in the IS-Fighters only install IS Weapons
and in the Clan Fighter only install Clan Weapons but there are fighters the where build in the Era of jihid with clan-technology or with help from the Clans. They can
also equipt with Clan and IS Weapons.

TEXTURES:
Whats your opinion to the textures, Fighter and Cockpits and gives it any errors
of textures?

FLIGHT BEHAIVOR:
I have a formular for calculate the speed and the maneuverability.
The formular include the reactor, movement points and the mass of fighter.
GRAPHIC:
Please test the game with any solution and show about ony HUD errors.
I have only a Widescreen and the HUD runs with out any errors.
I make a HUD.tbl entry for 4:3 but i can´t test it.
Also show about the FPS in game
Please send back any opinions and by problems let my show your Grahpiccard,
RAM and CPU (PM to me)
GAMEPLAY:
I don´t know where the MP maps runs with out errors.

The game file for other OS are in the Aerotechfolder called „Other OS exe“

There gives any bad points so let me know how is bad in the game and make Proposal how you
will solution this bad gameplay.
You have any feedback about weapons and ships?
So write the description from the weapons or fighter
a Example AHB-443 to heavy manouverity
LRM: Lock On time is to high
INSTALLATIONS:
The Aerotech Alpha is a 7z file
Please install the game in a seperation file.
It is a STAND ALONE not a modification…
You need also this
WX_Launcher OPTIONS for a good gameplay and for testing the Alpha
Basic Settings: Free to use.
Advanced Settings:
Graphics: Enable 3D shockwaves
Enable post processing
Enable soft particles
Ensable FXAA anti-aliasing
Game Speed: no setting
HUD: Enable rearm/repair completion timer
Gameplay: no setting is IMPORTANT
So you can show the Datapictures in the Ship selection menue
Audio: Preload mission game sounds
Multiplayer: no setting
Troubleshoot: no setting
Experimental: no setting
DevTool: Show frames per second on HUD
(only for your FPS test run)
START THE MISSION:
There is no campaigne so you should start the test maps in the TECHROOM by
Mission Simulator.
Any Error about NO CAMPAIGNE quit it with Go tho CAMPAIGNE and then OK.

The Faction insignia change is in BARRACKS.
Switch to Multi and select your Faction insignia. Then switch back to Single

I search for peoples they have experince in C++ or/and LUA scripting.
Missiondesigne and experince in FRED.
My last point:
It is a very big project and when you will help me by this project so you should know it is very expensive in time and we have time and this all is a hobby for me but i need peoples they will continuous work on this project.

No, Alpha Strike only work for Primary Weapons with Weapon Linking...
I work for a Solution about Alpha Strike but i think without write in the Sourcecode i can´t make it...

Okay, there are only two things I would like to recommend here.
One, right now, you always get error messages regarding the campaign file (or lack thereof) whenever you start the game. Now, I know you don't have a campaign in there yet, but I would still recommend putting in a dummy one just to make the engine shut up.
Two, that large planet graphic you're using in the missions shipped with this? It's ... not good. It's lacking in depth, compared to the other planetary graphics you've used, it just doesn't look all that good. I would also recommend getting the mediavps starfield skybox (or the htsb starfield from BP), and using that instead of the stars generated by the engine.

Does the standalone run cleanly with a Debug build? Fixing up all the Debug warnings is something that new releases often overlook.
It's strongly recommended you resolve all warnings as they are there for a reason. They can lead to odd or hard to track down errors later on and wasted development time :)

Yes it runs clean with debug. I test new Content always first with the debug file :)

Yes thx i use the old version of contemplate. The GTVA logos looks good and i hasnt another logo to replace it but maybe when i have a good logo for this game to replace it in a later Version

I don't have FS2 right here but I would like to know what Aerotech is about in terms of storyline and background. I assume it doesn't take place in the FreeSpace continuity, it seems a completely different universe.
And by the way, there should be a Wiki article about this mod. :)

Aerotech was the aerospace component of the BattleTech franchise.

Battletech has always been close to my heart, so seeing this made me really happy. In Kerensky's name and for Clan Wolf, I shall happily test.
Two things I have noticed so far from testing:
1. Every craft you can fly, even the lightest of ones, feel a bit heavy on the sluggish side. This is mostly reflected in AI-piloted craft, in that they can almost fly perfect rings around you and fire shots your way while you're still struggling to make a turn. Gliding does help to a degree, but I'm finding I have to rely on it in order to defend myself. I'm not saying its a bad thing; I do like the idea of sluggish maneuvering for a change. But I think they could be improved a slight tad so players have a decent chance and not, in my instance, depend on gliding.
2. This is a cosmetic thing, not exactly important or a game-breaking. But visually, the lasers seem a bit out of place to the norm of the Battletech titles. Medium as Red for example or Large as Green? I don't recall them being that way. All Mechwarrior Titles I've played (Mechwarrior 2 + Mercenaries, 4 + Mercernaries and MWO) follow this visual pattern:
Small = Red
Medium = Green
Large = Blue
Am I missing something with this? Just thought I'd point it out.
Other than those two pointers, very excellent so far. Would love to see more from Aerotech. ^.^

Well, MW4 actually did red=IS, green=Clan, blue=X-pulse, yellow-Heavy. I agree, though, that it might be better to have MW2-style colors (though MW4 style wasn't too bad, either).

Also, IIRC, MW3 fooled around with colors a bit, too. I didn't play it yet, but from what I've heard, the current scheme might be from there. I got stuck on that #@!$ underwater mission in GBL, and I'm playing them sequentially (starting with MW1! :) ), so I've got to finish that and Mercs first.

Should i reduce rotation speed and Newton Dumping???
There where two Solution.
In Space alle Fighters have a very high aggility and there where no difference or minimal difference between Lights and Assault...
or
No change???
I hope where the Alpha Test can give a review about whats good in Gameplay and a Solution how i can make it better...

Okay.
I have read all posts and write down any critic.
So i think this is the list of changes in the next Test Version
Insert Skyboxes for the mission
Make Dummy Campaigne File
Reduce Time of Manoverity -30% from every ship
A Aerotech Project Logo in the Menues ^^
Credits Update
maybe change laser colours in MW2 style and new Maps with content from the Forum (include the Content Maker Forum Name in the Credits) (big asteriods i like this) :)
Have any critic or idea what i should be change in the game especially Weapons or Chippewa Wing Animation with starting the Afterburner?????
Also in the next Test Version: New Fighters and Maps
