Ok, does anybody else have this going yet? (Batutta....im looking in your .. ... GENERAL......direction :pimp:) I'm in the midst of downloading it to my platform of choice and although this game may well be mentioned elsewhere in these hallowed forums, I am unaware of a specific beta thread.
Sally forth and nu halo of the old Republic ahoy.

I'll be on the Xbox One side, and will be looking to get fireteams going. Same GT as my handle here.
-
On ps3 as dobbsylondon btw.

My contact at a major, competing publisher keeps dangleing a Destiny beta key in front of me (the irony ;) ; but lobbism is an occupation that keeps on giving) despite me not owning a PS3/4 ... is there really somthing to this game?

Well I've finished the single player/story side of it. The multi player "crucible" (which you can't get at til you reach level 6 or so) feels very much like HALO EFFECT. The single story is fun. But some bosses cab take upward of half an hour to kill. Unless you fund map exploits to pick away weak points without fear of respite.
It feels like halo with mass effect combat FX and KOTOR ambience.

Watched new multiplayer beta videos earlier today. Wasn't impressed. Looks like your generic fps game.
-
Felt like it too.

Played it a bit. Did like it, gameplay is fine, art seems good. Now I'm just waiting for the PC release, cos playing it on PS3 is actually kinda headache-inducing due to the heavy upscaling and the fuzziness that comes from that.

I felt it was absolutely ok. I managed to get the most expensive jump ship you can get in the beta due to strike missions and farming runs, and levelled up my skills thanks to crucible play.
I'm curious how much of that will be retained in the full game.
Also make sure that people are playing it tonight at 21:00 gmt to receive a permanent in game reward for beta testing.

Me and a couple friends of mine came to find that the game had quite the Halo feel, mainly in the Crucible games but at the same time had rather unique elements to it. One of the "Darkness" factions, the Hive, I found to have a very striking similarity to the Necrons from Warhammer.
I also found that in Crucible Games - Fusion > Everything yet Shotgun > Fusion. Plus the supercharge abilities in Crucible are a bit OP.

Hive equals flood.
Fallen equals fallen.
Everyone's a master chief.
All I saw last night was a story mission on the moon. Did anyone get anything else?
