Was the other thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=88112.0) insufficient for some reason?

First post I saw, wasn't expecting two threads so wasn't looking for another one. Nothing exciting.

...the cost of installing a program and creating an account that you then never have to use except for those specific games?  I have no desire to ever buy anything through Origin (short of Mass Effect 3 possibly), but if they're going to be throwing stuff out there for free, I'll happily take advantage of it.

they have the "on the house" offer. so for a specific time maybe longer or shorter you may get a specific game for free. They have already given away Battlefield 1942 last month or dead space around three or four months ago.

Err... they've been throwing free stuff out there for quite some time. Battlefield 3, Plants vs. Zombies, Dead Space and others were all being given away at some point.

Yes I got this and ended up highly disappointed. It allows you to configure/calibrate your joystick/gamepad at the beginning, yet during game play, seems not to recognise that it is there?  :blah:

I had the same problem but if you press alt+o while in a mission it will take you to the ingame options where you can select the joystick.

Yes, I'm fully aware of that, seeing as how I installed Origin several months ago to get all of them. :p

It's possible that you have problems with the game because it's the original one runnig in DOSBox. But you can find a pdf of the manual in the game data folder. Yeah there has been a time with mgame manulas i can roughly remember it (X-Wing vs Tiefighter)
