Title: Upgrading STR, picking up where I left off?

I'm trying to update my 2014 STR to the latest Director's Cut edition, but I'll lose my progress if I do (says the current campaign cannot be found when I upgrade). I'm thinking that there's a bug in the 2014 version because Forced Hand is completely impossible, even on easiest difficulty. The Repulse jumps out waaaay too soon.

How can I pick up where I left off if I update my campaign file? Can I modify my player to tell it that I'm on Forced Hand?

Type skipmemymissionyo while in the main hall, then type the filename of the mission you want to skip to.
