Title: Resolution
Post by: leoben on October 08, 2016, 05:36:10 pm
Hey team - it's been a while! Also it's been a while since I turned on BP and FSO in general. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the updates msft rolled out in Win10, but whatever resolution I set with wxLauncher, it launches in a 4:3 resolution, if I had to guess it's 10x7. I have a 21:9 monitor, can do 3440x1440. I tried pretty much all resolution settings in wxlauncher, but it always launches in the same 10x7 crap. I tried borderless windowed and windowed modes, same thing. I'm sure I'm missing something...tried 3.7.3 and 3.7.4...thoughts? This may not have anythign to do with BP btw...

using custom flags in command line works btw...so i guess consider this a non-issue.

Try running wxLauncher as administrator. If that doesn't work, try enabling -fix_registry.

If that still doesn't work, throw your hands up in the air and don't worry too much about it, because 3.8 will use an .ini file instead of the registry.

Huh. I thought it was already fixed in the latest wxLaucher beta? :nervous:

Anyway, could you just try to write -res 3440x1440 in your command line? It should do the trick... However, the HUD isn't really made for such huge resolutions and its elements *may* be too small to play the game comfortably, so you could also try out some smaller resolutions if it bothers you.
